Exploring HBCU Homecoming Hookup Culture: BLK App Survey Findings
As Homecoming season kicks off at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), the BLK App has released a new survey shedding light on the HBCU hookup culture. According to the survey, 41.2 percent of respondents admit to having hooked up at a Homecoming event, with 53.8 percent considering it just a weekend fling.
Interestingly, the survey also revealed that 47.9 percent of attendees are simply there to “enjoy the scene and see what happens,” while only 5.6 percent are looking to reignite an old flame. Despite the potential for drama, over 50 percent of respondents prefer to stay out of the way and avoid any complications.
Surprisingly, 59.5 percent of respondents have no regrets about their Homecoming hookup experiences. Additionally, the survey ranked the best HBCU Homecomings, with North Carolina A&T University’s GHOE (Greatest Homecoming On Earth) taking the top spot, followed by Grambling State University and Howard University.
Howard and Morehouse were recognized for having the best looking women and men, while Florida A&M University was hailed for having the wildest Homecoming nights. With such accolades, it’s clear that HBCU Homecomings are not to be missed this season, offering a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and Black excellence. So, if you haven’t already, it might be time to book your flights and secure your tickets for a memorable Homecoming experience.
