She highlighted the fact that Black families are 40 percent less likely to be homeowners than others, underscoring the significance of homeownership in building intergenerational wealth.
The conversation on reparations has been ongoing for decades, with 77 percent of Black adults supporting the idea, according to the Pew Research Center. Following the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, the demand for reparations has only grown stronger.
