King Harris, the son of rapper T.I., found himself in hot water with the law just days after celebrating the impending arrival of his first child. The 19-year-old was arrested by Dunwoody police in Georgia after a close call with an officer’s vehicle at a gas station, as reported by WSB-TV.
During the traffic stop, officers detected the smell of marijuana coming from Harris’ BMW and also noticed a gun on his hip. Further investigation revealed that Harris had an outstanding warrant in Pickens County for failure to appear in court, leading to his arrest and placement in handcuffs.
The incident report detailed the officers’ interaction with Harris, stating that he was cooperative during the process of removing the firearm and detaining him. Two other individuals in the vehicle were also present, with one receiving a citation for marijuana possession but not being arrested.
This arrest comes on the heels of a recent warning from T.I. and Boosie Badazz to their sons about the dangers of flaunting firearms in their music videos. In a viral clip circulating on social media, the veteran artists can be seen questioning their sons about the need for guns, a message that seems to have fallen on deaf ears in Harris’ case.
As the news of King Harris’ arrest spreads, fans and followers are left wondering about the young rapper’s future and the potential impact of this incident on his budding career.
