First Take to Host Live Shows at HBCUs This Fall with Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim
ESPN’s popular morning debate show, First Take, is taking its talents on the road this fall with three live shows at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The show, featuring commentator and executive producer Stephen A. Smith and host Molly Qerim, will be visiting Howard University, Tennessee State University, and Clark Atlanta University at Morehouse College.
The first stop on the tour will be at Howard University in Washington, D.C. on September 20. This show will coincide with the highly anticipated “Battle for the Real HU” game between Howard University and Hampton University. Next up, on October 11, the First Take team will be at Tennessee State University in Nashville, where they will be joined by former NFL star and Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George, who is now the head football coach at Tennessee State.
The final show of the tour will take place on November 8 at Clark Atlanta University at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. This weekend will also feature a rivalry game between Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta at B.T. Harvey Stadium.
First Take has a history of supporting HBCUs, with previous visits to Winston-Salem State University, Savannah State University, and Florida A&M. The show has also celebrated HBCU Week at various locations, including the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the 76ers Fieldhouse.
Don’t miss these special live shows at HBCUs this fall, airing on Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon ET on ESPN.
