Travis Scott’s Trespassing Case Dropped, Lawyer Pleased

Travis Scott Cleared of Trespassing Charges in Miami Arrest

Travis Scott can breathe a sigh of relief as the last remaining charge against him from his June arrest in Miami has been dropped. The rapper was initially arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing, but now he is completely off the hook.

The misdemeanor trespassing charge was officially dismissed after Travis Scott’s legal team successfully argued that there were no clear “no trespassing” signs at the location where he was arrested. This argument, along with the fact that he was technically arrested at a private parking lot and not the Miami Beach Marina, convinced prosecutors to drop the case entirely.

His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “Although not a serious charge, and one that should not have been filed, we are pleased with the result.”

According to Florida law, Scott could have faced up to 60 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $500 for the trespassing charge. The incident occurred in the early hours of June 20 when Scott got into a verbal dispute with the occupants of a charter boat and appeared intoxicated.

Despite the initial arrest and the leaked bodycam footage showing a tense interaction with police officers, Travis Scott can now put this legal ordeal behind him and focus on his music career.
