Tragic Death of 9-Year-Old Jamaria Sessions Reveals Horrific Abuse at the Hands of Step-Mother

In a horrifying turn of events, the true details of a malicious attack on 9-year-old Jamaria Sessions in Orlando have finally come to light. What was initially thought to be a tragic accident turned out to be a brutal case of torture and murder at the hands of her stepmother, Tyshael Elise Martin.

Emergency responders were called to the Orlando home in June to treat an unresponsive child, only to find Jamaria bloodied and severely wounded. It wasn’t until months later that police arrested Martin for first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and child neglect.

The autopsy revealed that Jamaria had suffered multiple abrasions, bruises, burns, and bite marks, all stemming from physical abuse. Security footage from the house showed the family’s Rottweiler attacking the young girl as Martin held the leash and directed the assault. Martin can also be seen kicking Jamaria while she lay motionless on the floor.

The brutal incident took place in front of Martin’s other children, who witnessed their stepmother’s horrific actions. Text messages and additional videos revealed a pattern of punishment that included wall sits, running in place with arms raised, and being hit with various objects.

The medical examiner ruled Jamaria’s death a homicide, caused by blunt force trauma to the head and thermal injury to the foot. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office described it as “the worst case of aggravated child abuse we’ve ever seen.”

Martin has been denied bond and remains in custody, awaiting trial for the heinous crimes she committed against an innocent child. The community is left reeling from the shocking revelation of such a senseless and cruel act.
