Phaedra Parks aims to redeem the “Housewives” name on season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars”

Phaedra Parks, known for her role on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is taking on a new challenge on season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars.” With a dazzling debut performance to Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman,” Parks is determined to redeem the “Housewives” name on the dance competition show.

In an interview with People magazine, Parks revealed that she did not seek advice from her fellow Bravo castmates who have previously competed on the show. She expressed her desire to approach the competition with a fresh perspective and a winning mindset. Paired with professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Parks described her experience on the show as both fun and intense, with rigorous training sessions lasting at least four hours a day.

While Parks is not the first “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star to join “Dancing with the Stars,” she hopes to achieve a higher ranking than her predecessors. Former cast members Kenya Moore, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Nene Leakes finished in 10th, 11th, and 7th place respectively in their respective seasons.

Beyond her competitive drive, Parks shared that her decision to join the show was motivated by her desire to be a positive role model for her sons, Ayden and Dylan. She hopes to earn some “cool points” with her boys and prove that she can dance and be super cool. As her sons eagerly await the opportunity to watch her perform live, Parks is giving her all to make them proud and show off her dancing skills on the big stage.
