Snoop Dogg Reveals 2Pac Helped Raise Son Cordae Before His Tragic Death
In a heartwarming revelation, Snoop Dogg has shared that the late Hip Hop icon 2Pac played a significant role in raising his first-born son, Corde, before his untimely death in 1996. Speaking to PEOPLE for a cover story, Snoop reminisced about their time together in the mid-1990s.
“I was working on Tha Doggfather, so when [Corde] was old enough, I started taking him to the studio with me. Tupac loved him. It’s like his nephew. Tupac was a better dad than me,” Snoop fondly recalled.
Snoop recently paid tribute to 2Pac by opening a weed dispensary in Los Angeles called S.W.E.D., which stands for Smoke Weed Every Day. The dispensary features a limited edition release of Death Row Cannabis products, with 2Pac gracing the packaging.
The line includes a premium blend of cannabis flower and Alien OG, along with an exclusive never-before-seen photo of the legendary rapper. Snoop also shared that 2Pac introduced him to smoking blunts back in 1993, a moment that sparked a lasting friendship.
S.W.E.D. offers fans a unique experience, with a Death Row electric chair on display, graffiti-covered walls, and music memorabilia dedicated to Snoop’s iconic album Doggystyle. The dispensary serves as a tribute to 2Pac’s legacy and the profound impact he had on Snoop’s life.
