Biopic Film on Queen Latifah in Development: A Collaboration Celebrating Hip-Hop Legends

The Queen Latifah biopic is officially in development, marking the beginning of a new collaboration between Flavor Unit Entertainment, Westbrook Studios, and Jesse Collins Entertainment. This project is just the first in a series of biopics focusing on iconic hip-hop stars, independently financed by HarborView Equity Partners.

While specific details about the Queen Latifah film and other upcoming biopics have yet to be revealed, the partnership with HarborView offers access to a vast music catalog for potential development opportunities. Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere will produce the biopic for Flavor Unit Entertainment, alongside Will Smith and Miguel Melendez for Westbrook Studios, and Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon for Jesse Collins Entertainment.

In a joint statement, Queen Latifah and Compere expressed their excitement to collaborate with friends and colleagues to tell the stories that shaped their lives. Will Smith highlighted the importance of bringing talented teams together to create something special, while Jesse Collins emphasized the impact of Queen Latifah’s story on the world.
