Hampton Pirates Extend Win Streak to Eight Games with Victory over Howard Bison

The Hampton Pirates continued their dominance over the Howard Bison in the Battle of the Real HU, extending their win streak to eight games with a 27-20 victory. This win marks the longest streak for Hampton over Howard since their 14-game winning streak from 1997-2010.

The game started with a bang as Hampton’s Chris Zellous connected with Kymari Gray for a 38-yard completion, setting up a touchdown pass to Tyler Hatcher. The Pirates’ defense also stepped up, holding Howard scoreless on a crucial fourth down stop.

Hampton capitalized on a pass interference penalty, leading to a touchdown run by quarterback Malcolm Mays. The back-and-forth continued with turnovers on both sides, including a Hampton interception by Christopher Eaton and a fumble recovery by Kenny Gallop.

Despite Howard’s efforts to close the gap, Hampton maintained control with rushing touchdowns by Ja’Quan Snipes and a game-sealing run by Zellous. The Pirates improved to 3-1 on the season, while Howard fell to 2-2.

The Battle of the Real HU lived up to its hype as Hampton showcased their strength and determination in securing another victory over their rivals. Fans can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds for the Pirates as they continue their quest for success.
