Another Woman Sues Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alleging Rape and Recording of Assault
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A new lawsuit has been filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging that he and his head of security raped a woman and recorded the assault on video at his New York recording studio in 2001. Thalia Graves, the plaintiff in the case, claims that she was drugged and assaulted by Combs and Joseph Sherman when she was just 25 years old.
According to the lawsuit, Graves was lured to a meeting at Bad Boy Recording Studios under false pretenses and was then bound, raped, and physically assaulted by the two men. Graves, who spoke at a news conference in Los Angeles with her attorney Gloria Allred, shared the emotional toll that the incident has taken on her mental health over the years.
Combs, who is currently in jail on federal charges related to sex trafficking, has denied the allegations against him. The lawsuit, filed under the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, seeks damages and the destruction of any copies of the video recording.
The lawsuit also mentions that Combs allegedly showed the video of the assault to others and sold it as pornography. Graves, who had been threatened by both Combs and Sherman to keep quiet about the incident, felt isolated and ashamed for years.
The case against Combs continues to unfold as more women come forward with similar allegations. The lawsuit serves as a reminder of the importance of holding powerful individuals accountable for their actions and seeking justice for survivors of sexual assault.
