Conspiracy Theory Fueled by Trump and Vance Leads to Racist Post, Congressional Outrage, and Criminal Complaint for Haitian Immigrants

The Haitian Bridge Alliance, a grassroots advocacy group, took action by filing a criminal complaint against Trump and Vance, accusing them of spreading dangerous lies that have harmed Haitian communities. Executive director Guerline Jozef emphasized the need to hold them accountable for their actions rooted in anti-Black racism and white supremacist ideology.

In response to Higgins’ racist post, U.S. Rep. Steven Horsford filed a motion to censure the Louisiana congressman, but House Republicans blocked it from moving forward.
