BlocBoy JB Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges After Falling Asleep While Driving in Memphis
Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB found himself in trouble with the law once again after being arrested on gun and drug charges. The Tennessee Highway Patrol discovered the artist asleep behind the wheel of his car, with a gun in his lap and marijuana in his possession.
BlocBoy, whose real name is James Lee Baker, was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, driving with a revoked license, and obstructing a highway. He was booked into Shelby County Jail on a $7,500 bond and had his driver’s license revoked.
This is not the first time BlocBoy JB has had legal issues. In 2019, he was arrested on felony drug and gun charges, but his attorney claimed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Despite his troubles with the law, BlocBoy JB has continued to perform and make music.
In addition to his legal troubles, BlocBoy JB was involved in a legal dispute with Fortnite creator Epic Games over the use of a dance from his “Shoot” video in the popular game. The rapper claimed that Epic Games used his dance without permission and filed a lawsuit against the company in 2019.
Despite his legal battles, BlocBoy JB remains a prominent figure in the Memphis music scene. It is yet to be seen how these latest charges will impact his career moving forward.
