Jonathan Majors’ Bodybuilding Film Magazine Dreams Set for Theatrical Release in 2025
Jonathan Majors’ career is back on track with the upcoming release of his highly anticipated bodybuilding film Magazine Dreams. Despite facing legal challenges and a subsequent conviction, the movie is set to hit theaters in early 2025 after a delay.
Briarcliff Entertainment has secured the domestic distribution rights for Magazine Dreams, with CEO Tom Ortenberg praising Majors’ performance as transformative and compelling. The film, which also stars Haley Bennett, follows Majors as an amateur bodybuilder and was initially acquired by Searchlight after receiving praise at the Sundance Film Festival.
Majors, known for his roles in Creed III, Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and the Disney+ series Loki, faced legal trouble in December but avoided jail time. Despite the setback, Magazine Dreams is now moving forward with a new distributor.
Ortenberg’s company is also handling The Apprentice, a film about former President Donald Trump’s real estate ventures in the 1980s, showcasing a diverse range of projects in the works.
As for Majors’ future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seems to be over with his role as Kang the Conqueror being replaced in upcoming films. Despite this, Magazine Dreams marks a new chapter for Majors and his career, showcasing his talent and resilience in the face of adversity.
