Chicago Beyond, NBA Foundation, and Chicago Bulls Announce $1 Million Collaboration to Support Black-Led Nonprofits in Chicago
The partnership between the NBA Foundation, Chicago Beyond, and the Chicago Bulls is making waves in Chicago as they continue their $1 million collaboration to uplift Black-led nonprofit organizations. This initiative aims to provide support to local organizations that are actively creating opportunities for Black youth and communities in the city.
With a focus on trust-based philanthropy and addressing critical city issues, this partnership is set to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Liz Dozier, Founder and CEO of Chicago Beyond, expressed her pride in the partnership, highlighting the importance of supporting organizations that are making a difference in their communities.
The six organizations chosen to receive grants in this cohort each have a unique approach to serving Black youth and communities in Chicago. From promoting the love of boxing to combatting food insecurity and using the arts to interrupt violence, these organizations are dedicated to making a positive impact.
Despite the challenges faced by Black communities in accessing philanthropic funding, this partnership reaffirms the commitment of the NBA Foundation, Chicago Beyond, and the Chicago Bulls to supporting Black youth and promoting racial equity in philanthropy. Through initiatives like these, the Bulls continue to play a vital role in uplifting under-resourced communities and fostering collaboration among local leaders.
