“Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour Taps Five Fashionable Black Men to Co-Chair 2025 Met Gala”

In a surprising twist, Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour has chosen five of the most fashionable Black men in sports and entertainment to co-chair the 2025 Met Gala. Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and honorary chair LeBron James will join forces with Wintour to bring their unique styles to the prestigious event.

Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” will showcase the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism throughout history.

While an official dress code has yet to be announced, anticipation is high for a red carpet filled with Black Excellence at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5 in New York City.
