Trump Slammed for Insulting Black and Hispanic Voters Supporting Kamala Harris

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is facing backlash for his recent comments suggesting that Black and Hispanic voters who support his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, should have their “head examined.” During a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, Trump stated, “Anyone who is African American or Hispanic – and you know how well I’m doing there – that votes for Kamala, you gotta have your head examined,” which was met with laughter from the audience.

Black leaders, including Markus Batchelor of People For the American Way and NAACP President Derrick Johnson, condemned Trump’s remarks, with Batchelor stating that Trump is the one who needs a “head examination.” Johnson went further, questioning Trump’s mental fitness and pointing to his recent rally in Oaks, Pennsylvania, where Trump spent 30 minutes dancing to music instead of answering questions from voters.

Johnson expressed concerns about Trump’s behavior on stage, suggesting that he lacks the mental capacity to moderate his actions. With Election Day approaching, Johnson emphasized the importance of considering whether Trump is fit to lead the country.

The Harris campaign also criticized Trump for his comments, calling on him to release his medical records. Biden-Walz campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika challenged Trump to stop hiding and engage directly with Black media, contrasting Harris’ efforts to engage with a broad coalition of voters.
