Rick Ross Accused of Lying About Correctional Officer Past

Rapper Rick Ross is facing accusations of lying about his past work as a correctional officer after internet personality 1090 Jake shared alleged paperwork on Instagram revealing that Ross worked for the Department of Corrections in Florida for a year and a half, not just four months as he previously claimed.

The documents, dated from 1995 to 1997, include Ross’s signature and a Certificate of Appreciation for his service as a “perfect attendance employee.” 1090 Jake, known for exposing online personalities, shared the paperwork in defense of Drake, with whom Ross has been feuding.

In response, Ross labeled Jake a “rat” and Drake began following the internet personality on Instagram. Ross has previously discussed his time as a C.O. during a podcast appearance, mentioning that he only lasted four months due to the low pay and physical demands of the job.

Despite previously stating he worked as a correctional officer for 18 months, Ross has maintained that he never tried to hide his past and that his experiences in the streets have shaped his music and persona.

The accusations have reignited discussions about Ross’s past and authenticity, with fans and critics questioning the rapper’s credibility. As the feud between Ross and Drake continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how this latest controversy will impact Ross’s career and reputation in the music industry.
