Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent was recently honored with the Entrepreneurial Leadership Award by the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship, presented to him by Power actor Joseph Sikora. The award ceremony took place on May 1st, where MSNBC host Ari Melber highlighted the importance of supporting young entrepreneurs from underprivileged backgrounds.

During his acceptance speech, 50 Cent expressed his gratitude to all the teachers, mentors, and volunteers who have supported his organization, G-Unit. This recognition comes on the heels of the rapper being honored with his own day in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he recently opened his G-Unit Film & TV Studios.

The New York City native received approval from the Shreveport City Council to lease a massive studio in the city, where he plans to base his entertainment company. The lease will cost him $2,400 annually for 30 years, with the option to renew for an additional 15 years.

50 Cent took to social media to share his excitement about the new venture, stating that “All roads lead to Shreveport.” Mayor Tom Arceneaux praised the rapper’s commitment to the city, noting that the film industry in Shreveport is set to blossom once again thanks to 50 Cent’s investment.

With plans to make significant improvements to the facility, 50 Cent’s G-Unit Studios is poised to create job opportunities and revitalize the entertainment industry in Shreveport. The rapper’s dedication to entrepreneurship and community development continues to be recognized and celebrated.
