Benzino Confirms Fallout with Daughter Coi Leray: “It’s Unfortunate”
Benzino and Daughter Coi Leray Confirm Fallout: “I Can’t Believe It’s Happened”
Former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Benzino has confirmed the recent revelation made by his daughter Coi Leray that the two no longer speak to each other. In a candid interview on the We In Miami podcast, Benzino expressed his disbelief at the situation, stating, “It’s unfortunate. But, you know, we don’t communicate too much. The whole thing is surreal to me… I’m a smart guy but I can’t figure this one out.”
The rift between father and daughter seems to stem from comments Benzino made about R. Kelly, where he controversially stated, “Everybody deserves a second chance.” Leray, in response to her father’s remarks, took to social media to make it clear that she wants nothing to do with him, writing, “I want everybody to know I want nothing to do with anything my father has going on. I haven’t spoken to him in over a year and I don’t condone or respect any of them interviews he got going on.”
The public fallout between Benzino and Coi Leray is not new, but this latest development seems to have solidified their estrangement. Leray emphasized the importance of loyalty, boundaries, respect, and love in defining family, and expressed her eagerness to one day have a child of her own.
As the father-daughter relationship continues to deteriorate, fans are left wondering if there is any hope for reconciliation between the two. Stay tuned for more updates on this ongoing family drama.
