Swizz Beatz, the legendary producer and musician, has taken a trip down memory lane by sharing photos from his younger days in the ’90s. The 45-year-old artist gave fans a glimpse into his past by showcasing his old room, where he claims to have created DMX’s iconic track “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.”
In an Instagram post on Monday, Swizz Beats captioned the throwback photos with, “Just a young man from the BRONX.” The post received praise from his peers, with Fat Joe commenting, “Coming from where I’m from,” and Metro Boomin calling it “ICONIC and inspiring.”
Swizz Beatz has come a long way since his early days in the music industry. Recently, he and his wife Alicia Keys curated an exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum featuring works from their private collection. The exhibition, titled ‘GIANTS: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys,’ showcases pieces by renowned artists such as Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Kehinde Wiley.
The exhibition, which runs until July 7, aims to celebrate Black artists and spark conversations about society and Blackness. The couple’s collection has been transformed into a 250-page coffee table book, further solidifying their impact on the art world.
