Foxy Brown, the Brooklyn rapper, has become a key witness in the Tupac murder trial, according to recent reports. Prosecutors are looking to Brown to provide evidence that Duane “Keefe D” Davis, a reputed Southside Crip, was in Las Vegas on the night of Tupac’s murder in 1996.

Davis has denied being in Vegas that night, but Brown allegedly saw him and interacted with him before the shooting. In his book, Davis claimed to have met with Brown on the night of the murder, but now says that the details in the book were fabricated.

Prosecutors are hoping that Brown, whose real name is Inga Merchand, will corroborate the story told in Davis’ book when she takes the stand. The trial has been delayed until November, as Davis’ new lawyer has requested more time to review the case’s discovery.

Currently, Davis is in jail with a $750K bail, but could be released on an ankle monitor if he can come up with the bail money.
