Leader of Infamous White Supremacist Group Sentenced to Prison for Racist Flyers on Black Churches

Daniel Walls, the leader of the Old Glory Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, has been sentenced to three years in prison for posting racist flyers on the doors of Black churches in Columbia, Tenn. The flyers contained hateful messages targeting race traitors, mixed breeds, communists, homosexuals, and other marginalized groups.

Walls pleaded guilty to four counts of civil rights intimidation, admitting to his actions that spread fear and hatred in the community. The judge emphasized the consequences of such senseless acts of hate and hoped that Walls’ incarceration would deter others from following in his footsteps.

The pastor of one of the targeted churches, Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, expressed relief at the sentencing, stating that he was glad justice was served. Walls, during his sentencing hearing, expressed deep regret for his actions, acknowledging that what he did was wrong and horrible.

The Anti-Defamation League revealed that Walls’ Klan group has been active since 2021, spreading their propaganda in multiple states. The flyers not only contained racist slogans but also featured Ku Klux Klan imagery and homophobic language, inciting fear and division in the community.

As Walls begins his three-year sentence, he also faces an additional six years of probation. The community hopes that this punishment will send a strong message against hate and intolerance, and serve as a warning to others who seek to spread bigotry and discrimination.
