Outrage in Newark Over Suggestive Women’s Basketball Tournament Advertised on YouTube

Parents and school officials in Newark, New Jersey are outraged after a scandalous video promoting a women’s basketball tournament at a local high school went viral. The video advertised the “Nuttin But Azz” Baddies Basketball tournament scheduled to take place at West Side High School, featuring teams competing for a $10,000 prize. However, the event was abruptly canceled after it was revealed that the women would be playing in thongs.

District officials were blindsided by the explicit nature of the event, with Communications Director Nancy J. Deering stating that no school or district official approved of or knew about the provocative attire. Councilman Dupré ‘Doitall’ Kelly, who sponsored the event, quickly distanced himself from the controversy, denouncing the video as “absolutely horrible” and claiming no involvement in its creation.

Organizer Big Fendi issued a public apology to the city of Newark, school officials, parents, and the community for the offensive content. He took full responsibility for the inappropriate attire worn by the players, acknowledging that the event spiraled out of control.

The scandal has sparked a heated debate in the community, with many questioning the oversight and approval process for school-sponsored events. As the dust settles, parents and officials are left grappling with the fallout of a scandal that has tarnished the reputation of a local high school and raised concerns about the boundaries of acceptable behavior in school settings.
