The Deans, known for their contributions to music and culture, have curated a selection of approximately 115 objects, including 98 major artworks, that highlight the impact of Black artists on the art canon. From 20th-century legends like Nick Cave and Lorna Simpson to contemporary artists like Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald, the exhibition explores societal issues, monumentality, and the evolution of the Deans’ audacious collection.
