Judge Delays Decision on Keefe D’s $750k Bond in 2Pac Murder Case
Keefe D, the accused killer of legendary rapper 2Pac, is facing a delay in his quest for freedom as his $750,000 bond decision has been postponed by Clark County District Court Judge Carli Kierny. The judge expressed skepticism about the source of the funds for the bond and stated that she would need to review financial records before making a decision.
One of the key figures involved in securing the bond, controversial manager Cash “Wack 100” Jones, claimed to have finalized the bond by paying over $100,000 to an insurance company. However, prosecutors raised concerns that Jones’ contribution was made in exchange for an interview with Keefe D regarding 2Pac’s murder.
Judge Kierny expressed doubts about the true intentions behind Jones’ payment and emphasized the need for clarity on the matter. Despite Jones’ claim that the interview was planned for after the trial, the judge remained cautious about the potential connection between the bond and Keefe D discussing the murder.
Keefe D’s attorneys had previously requested house arrest for their client, citing his poor health and asserting that he posed no danger. However, a previous request for leniency was denied due to concerns about Keefe D being deemed too dangerous for bail.
As the legal proceedings continue, the decision on Keefe D’s bond remains pending, with Judge Kierny yet to set a timetable for her final ruling. The case is scheduled to go to trial in November, with the outcome eagerly awaited by both supporters and critics of the accused killer.
