Louisiana Sheriff: ‘Miracle Baby’ Survives Two Days Alone on Roadside

A 1-year-old “miracle baby” has been found alive after surviving two days of stormy weather on the side of a highway in Louisiana. The incredible discovery came after the baby’s 4-year-old brother was found dead in a lake behind an Interstate 10 welcome center near the Texas state line.

Authorities had been searching for the missing children after they were last seen with their mother, Aaliyah Jack, 25, of Lake Charles. The search took a tragic turn when the body of the 4-year-old was found, leading authorities to fear the worst for the 1-year-old.

However, a truck driver spotted the baby crawling along the roadside and called 911, leading to the miraculous rescue. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Gary “Stitch” Guillory described the baby as a “miracle” and expressed gratitude to the trucker who spotted him.

Jack was later arrested in Mississippi, more than 350 miles away from where her children were found. She faces a charge of failure to report a missing child and is set to be extradited to Louisiana.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are still trying to piece together the events that led to the tragic death of the 4-year-old and the miraculous survival of the 1-year-old. The community is rallying around the baby, who is now safe and in good condition despite his ordeal.

As the story continues to unfold, the focus remains on the well-being of the “miracle baby” and the search for answers in this heartbreaking and heartwarming tale.
