Kid Cudi Takes Fans on a Journey to South Korea in New “Superboy” Music Video
Kid Cudi takes his fans on a journey to South Korea in his latest music video for the track “Superboy” from his album INSANO (NITRO MEGA). Directed by Cudi himself and Jason Goldwatch, the video showcases stunning visuals from locations such as Dongdaemun History & Culture Park in Seoul.
The video was filmed during Cudi’s trip to South Korea in 2023, and he expressed his gratitude to everyone he met on the journey, giving a special shoutout to The Teriyaki Boyz, especially Verbal. The track “SUPERBOY” is part of the companion release to Cudi’s INSANO album, which was released in February 2024.
According to HipHopDX’s Sam Moore, the NITRO MEGA album is a mammoth 18-track project that showcases Cudi’s somber voice over futuristic sonics. Moore specifically praised the track “SUPERBOY,” noting its ethereal qualities reminiscent of Cudi’s earlier work.
In addition to releasing new music, Cudi also dropped a new track titled “Dreams I See” along with a comic book. The song, produced by Rami Beatz and Matt Spatola, brings back vintage Man on the Moon vibes as Cudi raps, sings, and hums over a spacey backdrop. The accompanying comic book further expands Cudi’s sonic universe in illustrated form, with a limited-edition clothing collection featuring designs from the series.
Fans can immerse themselves in Kid Cudi’s world through his music, visuals, and now, his comic book series, as he continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide.
