Young Thug and YSL RICO Trial in Chaos as Judge Removed

The ongoing RICO trial of Young Thug and YSL has taken a dramatic turn as Judge Ural Glanville has been removed from the case, causing further uncertainty and chaos. The decision to recuse Glanville was made by a separate judge in order to maintain the public’s confidence in the judicial system.

Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, had filed a motion to dismiss Glanville after it was revealed that the judge had met with prosecutors and a state witness without the knowledge of the rapper and his legal team. Glanville’s replacement, Judge Shukura L. Ingram, has been named, but a new start date for the trial has yet to be confirmed.

In response to Glanville’s removal, Steel stated that Young Thug is innocent of the charges and sought a fair trial with an impartial judge. He expressed gratitude that the reviewing court agreed to disqualify Glanville from the case and looks forward to proceeding with a new trial judge.

The controversy surrounding Glanville escalated in June after a private meeting with prosecutors and a witness, leading to accusations of unconstitutional behavior. Steel’s refusal to disclose the source of information about the meeting resulted in a dramatic courtroom scene where he was arrested for contempt of court.

Despite the tumultuous events, Steel was granted bond and will continue to prepare Young Thug’s defense against the RICO charges. The trial’s future remains uncertain as the legal battle continues to unfold.
