Judge Shukura Ingram Recuses Herself from YSL RICO Case: Courthouse Deputy’s Romantic Involvement Leads to Another Judge Change

The YSL RICO case against Young Thug and his co-defendants in Fulton County, Atlanta, has taken yet another unexpected turn. The newly assigned judge, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Shukura Ingram, has recused herself from the case due to a courthouse deputy’s romantic involvement with one of the co-defendants, Christian Eppinger.

The deputy in question, Akeiba Stanley, was arrested in June 2023 after investigators uncovered her relationship with Eppinger. Stanley was accused of using a phone to communicate with Eppinger both inside and outside the courtroom, visiting him in his jail cell, and attempting to smuggle contraband into the jail. This revelation led Judge Ingram to step aside, citing concerns about the appearance of impropriety.

This development comes just two days after Judge Ingram was assigned to the case following the removal of Judge Glanville. Now, Judge Ingram has requested that the case be reassigned to another judge to maintain public confidence in the judiciary’s independence and impartiality.

The YSL RICO case has already made history as the longest trial in Georgia, with no end in sight. The drama surrounding the case seems to be never-ending, with each new development more shocking than the last. As the search for a new judge begins, all eyes are on who will be the next to preside over this high-profile and controversial case. Stay tuned for more updates on this wild and crazy legal saga.
