In a heartbreaking turn of events, Los Angeles police officers have arrested Jestice James, 22, in connection to the deaths of her two young children, Jestine and Josiah, from an apparent fentanyl overdose. The tragic incident unfolded last Thursday morning in Canoga Park, when James called 911 to report that her twin boys were unresponsive.

Despite efforts from paramedics and medical staff, Josiah was pronounced dead later that day, while Jestine tragically passed away two days later. The LAPD stated that preliminary investigations pointed towards the children ingesting or being exposed to fentanyl, a potent opioid that has been responsible for a rising number of overdose deaths in recent years.

Prosecutors have since charged James with two counts each of murder, child abuse, and child endangerment. She remains in custody with a bail set at $4 million. The devastating loss of Jestine and Josiah has left their family shattered, with loved ones describing the twins as “very loving and goofy babies” who brought immense joy into their lives.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the funeral expenses for the young children, who had just celebrated their third birthday a few days before the tragic incident. This heartbreaking case sheds light on the dangers of fentanyl and the devastating impact it can have on families and communities.
