Nike and Centre Pompidou Collaborate for “Art of Victory” Exhibition Celebrating Sport and Culture

Nike and Centre Pompidou are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind celebration of sport and culture with the opening of the “Art of Victory” exhibition on July 24. This event pays homage to Nike Air innovation, drawing inspiration from the iconic Centre Pompidou’s architectural influence on the Air Max 1 design almost four decades ago.

The exhibition promises an immersive experience, with the Centre Pompidou’s façade transformed into a dynamic canvas showcasing groundbreaking sports stories. In addition, Nike will offer a range of interactive sport experiences in the outdoor space, including running, basketball, global football, skateboarding, and breaking.

Renowned designer Tinker Hatfield, credited with integrating visible Air cushioning technology into the Air Max 1, emphasizes the importance of boldness and disruption in both architecture and design. The partnership between Nike and Centre Pompidou encourages creativity and risk-taking to capture attention and make a lasting impact.

To add to the artistic atmosphere, a public sculpture titled “Cycloid Piazza” (2024) by French artist Raphael Zarka and architect Jean-Benoît Vétillard will invite the public to engage with art in a new way.

The “Art of Victory” exhibition will run from July 24 to August 11, celebrating Nike’s legacy and sports innovation. Visitors can register for the exhibition and explore the event schedule on Paris.nike.com. Additionally, those under 26 can enjoy free admission to the Centre Pompidou’s exhibitions and permanent collection during this period. Don’t miss this unique fusion of sport, art, and innovation in the heart of Paris.
