Prince Harry Speaks Out on Protecting Meghan Markle Amid Ongoing Legal Battles
Prince Harry has once again taken a stand to protect his wife, Dutchess Meghan Markle, amid ongoing legal battles with British tabloids. In a recent interview for the documentary “Tabloids on Trial,” the Duke of Sussex revealed his concerns for his family’s safety in the UK.
The Prince cited the tabloids as the main source of danger for Markle in his home country, stating that he wants his children to feel at home in the UK but cannot do so if they are not safe. The Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) recently removed the family’s royal protection, making it difficult for him to allow his wife to return to the UK.
Despite offering to pay for security costs, Prince Harry’s request was denied, leading him to appeal the decision. The Duke emphasized that his family’s safety is his top priority, especially after receiving terroristic threats against Markle while she lived in the UK.
The Prince blamed the tabloids for targeting him and Markle, ultimately leading to their decision to step away from the British Royal Family in 2020. He drew parallels between his wife’s treatment and the tragic passing of his late mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.
Since moving to the US, the Duke and Dutchess have added to their family with the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Despite tension within the Royal Family, Prince Harry remains steadfast in his mission to protect his family and hold the tabloids accountable for their actions.
With ongoing lawsuits against major British tabloids, the Prince continues to fight for justice and privacy for his family. His dedication to ensuring their safety and well-being is unwavering, as he strives to prevent history from repeating itself.
