Frontier Airlines Pilot Arrested, Flight Cancelled in Houston

A Frontier Airlines pilot, Seymour Walker, caused chaos last week when he was arrested on a flight from Houston to Dallas, resulting in the cancellation of the trip. The incident took place at Bush Intercontinental Airport on August 1, according to Houston authorities.

Walker was apprehended just before passengers were set to board the plane. Houston police stated that the pilot was taken into custody without any issues and that they waited until the plane landed at the airport before making the arrest.

Video footage of Walker being escorted off the plane with his hands cuffed behind his back quickly spread on social media, sparking curiosity and concern among viewers. It was later revealed that Walker was wanted on an assault-family violence arrest warrant issued by the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Department of Public Safety.

Frontier Airlines confirmed the pilot’s arrest and clarified that the incident was unrelated to the airline or Walker’s job performance. The airline offered affected customers a full refund, credit, or re-accommodation on the next available flight, along with a $100 flight voucher and overnight hotel accommodations as needed.

The Federal Aviation Administration also released a statement, indicating that they would investigate the incident as airlines are required to report such pilot-related issues to the FAA. As of Monday, it remains unclear whether Walker is still in custody.
