Donald Trump’s Racist Tactics in Desperate Bid for White House

Former President Donald Trump is once again stirring controversy with his latest racist remarks as he vies for a return to the White House in November. In a recent campaign post shared on Tuesday, Trump’s team shared an image denigrating Black immigrants with the caption “Import the third world. Become the third world.”

Throughout his political career, Trump has consistently used offensive language and stereotypes to appeal to his base. From labeling Mexicans as “rapists” to referring to African and Haitian nations as “sh*thole countries,” Trump has not shied away from making divisive and discriminatory comments.

In his current bid for the presidency, Trump has also targeted Vice President Kamala Harris with racist attacks, questioning her Blackness, calling her derogatory names in private conversations, and insulting her intelligence.

While Trump’s tactics may seem extreme, he is not the first Republican president to use white fear to gain political power. Past examples include George Bush’s ad against Michael Dukakis in 1988 and Jesse Helms’ infamous “Hands” ad in 1990, both of which played on racial stereotypes to sway voters.

Despite the backlash and criticism, Trump continues to employ derogatory tactics to stay in the spotlight. The NAACP’s X account highlighted the Republican party’s history of racism, emphasizing that voters will have a choice to make in November.
