Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson Finalize Divorce: Details of Settlement Revealed

After over a year of legal proceedings, Tina Knowles and Richard Lawson have officially finalized their divorce. The news comes shortly after Tina submitted financial documentation to expedite the process, with Richard following suit. According to legal documents obtained by Hot97, the former couple has reached a settlement agreement.

In the settlement, Tina will pay Richard a one-time lump sum of $300,000 and he will receive a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, various bank and retirement accounts, royalties from Richard Lawson Studios, and creative works developed during their marriage. On the other hand, Tina will retain ownership of her L.A. home, her stake in Kirby Beauty Management LLC, her vehicles, partnership with Penguin Random House, personal items, and any creative works she produced.

Additionally, both parties have agreed to a non-disclosure agreement, preventing them from speaking negatively about each other, their children, and grandchildren in any public forum or media. Tina had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split and requested her name be restored to Celestine Knowles, although it is unclear if this request was granted.

The former couple, who were married for eight years, attended the BET+ Season 2 Premiere Of The Ms. Pat Show Celebration together just a few days before news of their divorce was finalized. Despite the end of their marriage, both Tina and Richard are moving forward with their lives and careers.
