Jackson State University VP Ashley Robinson Selected for NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Committee
Jackson State University Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ashley Robinson, has been selected to serve as a member of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Committee, the organization announced. Robinson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to be chosen to serve in this role and to represent our conference. It’s an honor to serve those who put so much into this game as it continues to grow on the collegiate landscape.”
Robinson will represent the Southwestern Athletic Conference for a four-year term, starting September 1. As the Vice President and Director of Athletics at Jackson State University for six years, Robinson has been instrumental in leading Tiger Athletics to new heights. His motto, “Building on Tradition, Blazing New Trails,” reflects his commitment to elevating the athletic program at JSU.
Robinson’s leadership has been recognized with prestigious awards, including being named National Athletics Director of the Year twice. Under his guidance, JSU Athletics has achieved significant success, with 20 championships in various sports.
In addition to his role on the NCAA Men’s Basketball Rules Committee, Robinson currently serves as the chair of the SWAC’s Athletics Directors Committee and has previously held leadership positions in national athletic director associations.
