Singer Kehlani has taken to social media to express her frustration with fellow musicians who have remained silent on the ongoing war in Palestine. In a video posted on Instagram, Kehlani called out her peers for not using their platforms to speak out against the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of over 36,000 people since October.

In the video, Kehlani passionately stated, “You can’t speak?! Disgusting. It’s fuck Israel. It’s fuck Zionism. And it’s fuck a lot of ya’ll too.” She also wrote a lengthy caption expressing her anger and disappointment at the lack of response from the music industry.

Mackelmore, who has also been vocal in his criticism of Israel’s actions, showed his support for Kehlani’s post, commenting, “Goosebumps… every word. You been showing up the entire time. For inspiring me.”

This is not the first time Kehlani has spoken out in support of Palestine. Last year, she signed a letter calling out the occupation of Palestine and has consistently called for a ceasefire in the region. She has also criticized the U.S. government’s support of Israel, urging her followers to stand up for oppressed peoples around the world.

As the conflict in Palestine continues to escalate, Kehlani’s powerful message serves as a reminder for artists and individuals alike to use their platforms to speak out against injustice and stand up for human rights.
