Drake Faces Backlash from Sheryl Crow Over Use of 2Pac’s Voice in AI-Generated Freestyle

In a surprising turn of events, Drake has found himself in hot water with singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow over his controversial use of an AI-generated version of 2Pac’s voice in his “Taylor Made Freestyle.” Crow, speaking to BBC News, expressed her dismay at the disrespect shown towards the late rap icon.

“You cannot bring people back from the dead and believe that they would stand for that,” Crow stated. “It’s hateful. It is antithetical to the life force that exists in all of us.”

This criticism comes on the heels of a cease-and-desist letter sent to Drake by 2Pac’s estate back in April, demanding the removal of the track within 24 hours. The estate’s litigator, Howard King, emphasized that the unauthorized use of 2Pac’s voice was a violation of his publicity and legal rights, as well as an abuse of his legacy.

Even 2Pac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur, publicly condemned Drake for using his sibling’s voice in a disrespectful manner. He suggested that Drake should have handled any issues with Kendrick Lamar directly, rather than resorting to what he called the “nuclear option.”

As the controversy continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how Drake will respond to the mounting criticism from both Sheryl Crow and 2Pac’s estate. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
