Safaree Opens Up About “Dark Time” During Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill Relationship

Former Hoodstars member Safaree recently opened up about the difficult time he faced when his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj started dating Meek Mill. In a teaser for the We In Miami podcast shared on Instagram, Safaree reflected on the challenges he faced during that period.

He revealed, “When me and Nicki first broke up and she got with Meek and they were, like, the biggest in the world and we was all beefing and shit. You gotta think about — I had two of the biggest people in the world against me. That meant everybody would be against me, so nobody wanted to be next to me. Nobody wanted to work with me or none of that shit. So it just made everything hard and that shit that was a dark time for me.”

Safaree also spoke about how people rooted against him during this time, with fans and others wanting him to disappear from the spotlight. Despite the challenges he faced, Safaree emphasized that he has continued to thrive in the industry, with multiple TV shows and music projects under his belt.

This isn’t the first time Safaree has spoken out about the impact of Meek Mill on his relationship with Nicki Minaj. In a previous interview, he confirmed that Meek played a role in their breakup. Safaree also addressed his hurt feelings when Nas kissed Nicki in her music video, revealing that he was unaware of the scene until the video was released.

Despite the challenges and heartbreak Safaree faced during that time, he has continued to persevere in the industry and prove his resilience.
