Rapper T.I. Arrested in Case of Mistaken Identity at Atlanta Airport

In a bizarre case of mistaken identity, rapper T.I. found himself in handcuffs on Sunday at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. The arrest came after authorities discovered there was a warrant issued for another man who shares the same real name as the rapper—Clifford Harris—and was wanted in Baltimore, Maryland.

The suspect police were searching for is accused of stalking and being violent toward a woman, possibly involving a gun. T.I. was taken to Clayton County Jail, but his lawyer, Steve Sadow, managed to secure his release within two hours of the arrest by speaking to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing due to the warrant being issued out of state. However, the judge ultimately decided to toss the extradition order after reviewing the incident.

This isn’t the first time T.I. and his family have made headlines. Last year, a public altercation broke out between T.I., his wife Tiny, and their son King Harris at an Atlanta Falcons NFL game. The family has also faced resurfaced allegations of sexual assault in a lawsuit from 2005, which they vehemently denied.

Despite the drama, T.I. and his family remain resilient in the face of controversy, standing firm in their innocence and refusing to be shaken down by false claims.
